Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work.

Work should be fun - not only, but as often as possible. I like mine very much, because it's a good mixture: There's just enough mess to enjoy the bright days again. Basically, I am a troubleshooter,  and I seem to need the satisfaction coming from that.

 

That's my job:

• Oracle Database administration, versions 9i, 10g and 11g
• database high availability with Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) up to 4 nodes so far
• database high availability with Oracle DataGuard, with and without DG broker
• Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
• system concepts and deployment (mostly high availability and/or high performance database systems on Oracle)
• Linux system administration - on SuSE Enterprise Servers and OpenSuSE
