Linux became my new love in 1997:

In the beginnig, I just have been curious.
Later, it did not work, and I wanted it to work.
Later, it did not work, and I wanted to know why
Later, I desired to know how it works.
There is no end of this story.

Without doubt, one important point was getting a job as a Linux system administrator, but thats no issue for this spare time page. Because for one day to another my hobby and favourite waste of time became my job!

Working with the community has always been a factor. As usual, I started with enjoying the work of others: Reading docs, asking questions. But finally, I discovered the other side for me: It's often fun to answer, to help other users and rookies with their problems. This started with talking to friends and in IRC chat rooms. In 2005 we founded a local Linux User Group, and shortly after that I started participating in a German Linux Forum.
